more about my essay

So I've decided to write my essay on gender biasing in the classroom.  So far, i'm not sure where i'm going with my essay, and i'm not sure how to write a research essay that's not persuasive, so this is going to be a first. I'll feel a little incomplete when i'm "done" with my essay just because there won't be a "what you can do about it" section.

So, i've found a topic, and there's plenty of research on it, but i'm at a loss for words as to how to put it on paper. My topic: Gender biasing in the classroom.

This is going to be so difficult to start. I have my thesis sentence, but after that, i'm lost. I need to figure out how to get the words down and fast! I just started today, as i've spent most of my time playing games and thinking about what i wanted to write my essay on. I'm so, SO glad I got the topic chosen, but now to find out how to write it up!

reflections on the blogs

So we're supposed to write about writing or something to that extent, as far as i'm understanding, but i don't always feel like writing about writing, or writing about reading. However, today, while reading what we're supposed to do for this blog, i realized that i'm not making the most out of my blogs. While one is strictly write on this prompt, and this one is whatever the F you want it to be, i feel that i'm not getting the most out of them. I want a happy medium- one that has structure but not too much structure. I would like to know what i can and can't write about, but be able to write about basically anything i want.

These blogs are more of a journal that's open to the public instead of just plain old blogs. I find that rather interesting. Well i'm tired physically and mentally, and tired of homework. And it's only tuesday. BLECH!

perspective

everyone has a different perspective on the same thing. For example, the color green. There are different colors of green, but for our purposes, we will go with grass green. To me, it's usually a little yellow, but to my brother, for example, it could appear a little more green.

My brother is color blind. He can't see the difference between cooked hamburger and the raw stuff. He needs help cooking things because of this.

My brother has autism, and bipolar/mania. he was born with a short brain stem, which means he has hydrocephalus as well.

Each person is different, and they see things differently.

Being an English major really makes things interesting. I have to balance 2 separate blogs, keep up with my homework, and manage a time to have an actual life. I don't want my college career to be all about college and homework. I want to have FUN while i do it. So far, the only outside life i have had contact with, other than my family, has been my friend Andy, and those friends and classmates I meet up with during school hours. Andy has been my saving force that draws me out of my school shell, and helps me have fun while studying or while having a small social life.

Andy is one of my best friends, and a great guy. I wish for you all to meet him so you could see how great of a guy he is. I appreciate everything he does for me.

Anyways, I'm taking two English classes, 278 and 201, us history 1, Fundamentals of Education, and it's co-requisite Field Experience.

This morning was crazy! I worked on a little bit of homework for Survey of American Literature, composed an email to this woman for my Field Experience class, and went to class, all in about an hour. (i worked on the homework a little before i composed the email, and went to class while composing the email. It took me a long time to write the email, and i finished it in the beginning of my History class.) Then in history, my laptop almost died, and i was nowhere near a wall outlet to plug it in. Fortunately, i didn't need my laptop in my education class and was able to charge it.

Today was a busy day. To sum it all up, i studied, went to class, class, class, and then started on homework. Also, my friend Andy is Amazing. :D
